Computers with Causes takes the computers people and businesses no longer need, wipes and refurbishes them, and passes them on to people and programs that do.

How we work
Reuse first
Most computers people replace still work, or can work again with a repair. Our goal is to put each one back in use. Devices that can't be used whole can still provide parts to repair others.
A review for every donation
Every donation is reviewed before anything ships. That lets us plan for what's coming, send the right instructions, and avoid having donors pay to ship things we can't use.
Data protection
Every device is wiped with Acronis before it's reused. We also publish free guides so donors can back up, sign out and reset their devices themselves. Businesses can request a certificate of data destruction.
Help where it's needed
Computers go to individuals, families and organizations who apply. Applications are reviewed by people, not filters, and every request is read.
