Computers with Causes

Who we help

Every computer you donate is wiped, refurbished and passed on. Here is where they go, and the kinds of causes your donation supports.

People

The people who receive a refurbished computer.

Most requests come from individuals who need a computer for something specific: finishing school, applying for jobs, managing health care online or staying in touch with family. Each application is reviewed, and when a donated device fits the need, it's wiped, refurbished and sent to that person.

What a computer makes possible

School and learning

Homework, research, online classes and college applications all assume a computer at home. A donated laptop lets a student keep up instead of waiting for a library seat.

Work and job searching

Most job applications, interviews and training programs happen online. For job seekers and veterans returning to civilian work, a computer is a basic tool.

Health and family

Telehealth visits, patient portals and video calls with family keep seniors and people with disabilities connected to care and to the people they love.

Organizations doing the work

Shelters, youth centers, libraries and small nonprofits stretch every dollar. Donated computers free their budgets for the people they serve.
