Single devices are shipped from Florida after your form is approved. Donors ship at their own cost, and shipping is sometimes reimbursed. We send the address only once your donation is approved, so please don't ship anything before you hear from us.

Who donates from Florida
Florida donations come from retirees and seasonal residents, hospitals and clinics, tourism and hospitality businesses, schools, and offices in Miami, Orlando, Tampa and Jacksonville. Many seasonal residents donate before they head north in the spring.
Hurricane season runs through summer and fall. If you're preparing for a storm, wait until it passes to ship, and tell us if a device was exposed to water.
Donating from home
Most donations from Florida homes are a single laptop, desktop or tablet. Fill out the form with a few photos and an estimated value. Our team reviews it and, if approved, emails you the shipping address and packing instructions.
Donors in Miami, Orlando, Tampa and smaller towns all follow the same steps. Please don't ship anything before your form is approved.
Businesses, schools and nonprofits
Businesses, schools and nonprofits across Florida can donate in bulk, and bulk pickup is available everywhere in the state. Send a list with device types, models and quantities, and tell us about access at your site.
Offices in Miami replacing a fleet of laptops, school districts retiring Chromebooks and property managers clearing out a building all use bulk donation.
Your data
We wipe every device with Acronis before it's reused. You can protect yourself further by backing up, signing out of your accounts and resetting the device before you donate. Our guides cover Windows, Mac, Chromebook, iPhone, iPad and Android.
Taxes for Florida donors
Computers with Causes is a program of Giving Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. If you itemize, you may be able to deduct the fair market value of your donation on your federal return. Starting in 2026, itemizers can deduct only giving above 0.5% of adjusted gross income.
State tax rules vary. Ask your tax preparer how a donation affects your Florida return. Our tax guide explains the federal rules.
